Austrian sprinter Sabine Tröger was Austrian champion in both the 100 and 200 metres (1989-94), and 400 metres (1991-92). Indoors she won the national 60 metres title ten years in a row between 1986-95 and the 200 metres title in 1989-93, and 1995. Tröger qualified for the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics and advanced to the second round of the 100 and 200 but failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
Internationally, Tröger won the 200 bronze medal at the 1989 and 1992 European Indoor Championships. She competed at the 1993 World and 1994 Europeans, and in the latter year finished sixth in the 60 metres at the European Indoors. After her active sprinting career Tröger turned to long distance running.
