Ulisses dos Santos was a Brazilian sprinter/hurdler who ran the 400 hurdles at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. He also competed at that event at the 1959 Pan American Games, where he finished fifth. Dos Santos discovered his talent for track while he was in the Army. He continued competing through 1970 when he retired and began a career as a sports journalist.
