Biography

Alex Docherty was a Canadian track and field athlete who represented the Montréal Athletic Club. Docherty specialised in middle-distance running which saw him become the Canadian champion in the mile in 1926. At the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics he ran in the 1,500 metres, finishing fifth in his heat, with only the top-two athletes progressing to the final.

Personal Best: 1500 – 4:02.2 (1928).
