Óscar Alvarado was a Chilean track and field athlete who competed at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. Alvarado ran in the 100 metres where he finished in fourth place in his heat and did not advance to the quarter-finals. He was one of the 41 athletes to compete in the long jump, with his best effort being 6.51 metres to finish in joint-eighth place in his qualification group. Only the best six athletes across the four qualification groups progressed to the final, so again Alvarado was eliminated. He was also scheduled to be part of the quartet for the 4 × 100 metres relay but the Chilean team did not start the event.
Personal Bests: 100 – 10.8 (1928); LJ – 7.10 (1928).
