Georg Olsen was a Danish track and field athlete who represented KIF Atletik in København. A specialist in long-distance running, Olsen won four national titles in the 1960s, with two in the 10,000 metres (1963, 1965) and two in the marathon (1964, 1967). His performances earned him a place on the Olympic team for the 1968 Mexico City Games where he came 34th in the marathon. Olsen remained active throughout his life, winning a veteran’s tennis title in Denmark in 2012.
