Viggo Pedersen

Champion runner Viggo Pedersen won eight national titles and set 14 Danish records in distances from 2,000 metres to 20km. Pedersen won four editions of the King’s Cup and represented his country at the Olympics. His first national title came in 1909 with victory in the 15km cross-country race. Pedersen was the Danish champion in the event on three more occasions; 1910, 1912, and 1914. He also three national titles in the 10,000 metres (1912–14), and one title in the marathon in 1913.

At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics Pedersen finished in 23rd place in the cross-country race, with Denmark finishing in fifth place in the team cross-country event. He was also scheduled to run in the 10,000 metres but did not start the race.
