Biography

Reginald Uba was an Estonian track and field athlete who specialised as a middle-distance runner. Uba was first noticed in 1932 when he set a regional record in Virumaa, with him then competing on the Estonian cross-country team. He was selected to run in the 1,500 metres at the 1936 Berlin Olympics but was eliminated in the heats. Three years later he won bronze in the event at the national championships. Following his athletics career Uba had a variety of jobs including working as a varnish maker, an athletics referee, and as a fish protection inspector.

Personal Best: 1500 – 4:03.0 (1936).
