Biography

Finnish track and field athlete Sulo Heino represented HKV in Helsinki where he specialised in the hammer throw. Heino competed at the 1936 Berlin Olympics where he finished tenth with a best throw of 49.93 metres. The following year he won the national title at the Finnish athletics championships. Heino also won four silver medals (1939, 1942, 1946, 1949) and four bronze (1936, 1938, 1940, 1943) at the national championships.

Personal Best: HT – 53.60 (1940).
