Biography

Gustaf Alfons Koutonen was a Finnish track and field athlete who represented HKV in Helsinki. Koutonen specialised in the hammer throw, winning three national titles (1932–33, 1936), along with silver in 1935, and bronze in 1931. He just missed out on a medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics when he came fourth with a best throw of 51.90 metres.

Personal Best: HT – 53.55 (1933).
