Biography

French track and field athlete Yolande Plancke represented the Cadettes de Gascogne sports club where she specialised as a sprinter. Plancke competed at the 1926 Women’s World Games in Göteborg where she won silver in the 4×110 yards relay. As a regular on the French national team she often competed in international meets against Belgium and Italy. At the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics she ran in the 100 metres and just missed out on a medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay when the French team finished fourth.
