Biography
Rainer Pethran was on the West German basketball team at the 1972 München Olympics. The team lost both the classification match for places 9-12 against Australia by only one point (70-69), and also lost the 11th place match by one point against Spain (84-83). Domestically, Pethran played with USC München.
