Biography
Hammer thrower Helmuth Baumann never won a national title in East Germany. Nevertheless, he was runner up in 1964 and third from 1965-69. His only international appearance was the Olympics in 1968 where he placed eighth close behind his teammate Reinhard Theimer.
Personal Best: HT – 69.90 (1968).
