Biography

Paul Broch-Due played as a defender for the club Lyn from Christiania (now Oslo) and helped the club win the Norwegian cup championship in 1909, 1910 and 1911. His only international game for Norway was in June 1912 against Hungary, which they lost 6-0.

Although born in the USA, Broch-Due graduated in 1914 as an engineer from the Norwegian Technical University in Trondheim. He worked as an engineer at the department of water resources for energy producer Nore Kraftanlæg. Later he was chief engineer in the Water Resources and Electricity Administration. In 1954 he was appointed Knight of the Order of St. Olav for his work of planning and construction of hydroelectric power plants. In 1918, he married his wife Valborg (née Pedersen). They had six children, one of whom died in its infancy.
