Biography
Sprinter Renate Meyer started at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics with the mixed German team and in 1968 at Mexico City with West Germany. In Mexico City she placed sixth with the 4x100 relay, and was eliminated in the second round of the 100 at both Olympics. She won a silver medal at the 1966 Europeans in the 4x100 relay. Her greatest moments came when she won the European Indoors with the relay in 1966 and 1968. Domestically Meyer won four outdoor and three indoor titles. In her youth she was a gymnast, and she later worked as a secretary.
Personal Best: 100 – 11.4 (1964).
