Mark Henrich was a 400 metres runner who won a bronze medal with the 4x400 relay at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games together with Norbert Dobeleit, Egdar Itt, Jörg Vaihinger and Ralf Lübke. Henrich ran in the heats and the semifinal, but in the final hurdler Itt replaced him, as another teammate Bodo Kuhn ran only in the heats. Henrich took part with the relay at the 1987 World Championships (4th), 1989 European Cup (2nd), and in the 400 at the 1987 World Indoors and 1987 European Indoors. He won West German titles in 1987 both in- and outdoors, and in 1988 indoors (outdoor runner-up), and was also relay champion in 1982 both in- and outdoors. In 1988 he was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf. The educated banker later became a manager with an electric utility branch and then owned his own company.
