Otto Röhr was on the German sprint relay at Stockholm in 1912 that set a world record of 42.3 in winning heat three and was favored in the final, in the United States’ absence. Germany fell prey to a faulty baton pass in the final, however, and was disqualified. Röhr also participated in the high jump, but failed to make the final, and the decathlon, retiring after the high jump. In 1915 and 1919 Röhr was German Champion in the 110 hurdles. By profession he became a sales agent.
