Biography
Carl Shy attended UCLA but after graduation continued to play basketball with the Universal Studios team. He played for Universal in 1934, 1935, and 1936, making the Olympic team in the last year. Shy later became a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, eventually reaching detective before retiring.
