Carlos de Anda was a sprinter who competed at the 1932 Olympics. He later became a member of the Mexican Olympic Committee and President of the Mexican Athletics Federation. Under his leadership, the Central American and Caribbean Athletic Federation was formed and the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships were first contested. For his efforts in sports and sports administration, de Anda was made a member of the Hall of Fame of the Mexican Sports Federation.
