Little is known of the athletic career for Enrique Labadie, but his career was made as a doctor. He attended medical school at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, graduating in 1970. He then moved to the United States where he did a residency in neurology in Tucson, Arizona. Labadie later became the chief of neurology at the Tucson Veterans Administration Hospital, and has published extensively in the medical literature as a neurologist. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Arizona Graduate College.
