Biography

Basketball player Klaus Zander represented West Germany at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, finishing eighth. In total, he won 142 international caps. Domestically, he played with BSC Saturn Köln from 1977-88 and helped them to win the national title four times, in 1981-82, and 1987-88. He also won the German cup with Köln in 1980-81 and 1983. Zander studied sports science at the Deutsche Sporthochschule in Köln, and became an employee at the sports office of the municipality of Köln.
