Biography

Einar Ræder was a Norwegian all-round track and field athlete who enjoyed national success in the early 1920s. He won his first medals at the national championships in 1920 with gold in the pentathlon and silver in the decathlon. Ræder´s performances earned him a place on the Olympic team for the 1920 Antwerpen Games, competing in the decathlon and the long jump, and finishing eighth in the latter. Ræder had more success at home when he won back-to-back national titles in the decathlon (1922–23) and a second title in the pentathlon (1923).
