Elżbieta Krysińska made her first appearance at the Polish national track and athletics field championships in 1950, where she came in fifth in the shot put. She then had her best result the following year when she came in third, and followed that up with a fourth-place finish in 1952. Her next stop was the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, where she was eliminated in the qualifying round. After coming in fifth nationally in 1953 and 1955, and seventh in 1954, she retired from track and field athletics. She continued, however, to pursue rowing and competed at the European Championships in 1957 and 1958, placing fifth and fourth respectively. She remained athletically active into the 1960s.
