A Polish distance runner, Marian Jochman ran the 5,000 metres at the 1960 Roma Olympics. He joined WKS Zawisza in 1956. Jochman earned 15 international caps from 1957-61. His best year was 1959 when he was Polish Champion over 1,500 metres and was second in the AAA Championships in London in the mile. From 1957-60 Jochman was Polish cross-country champion.
Jochman studied at the Poznań University of Economics. He was later awarded a Bronze Medal for Outstanding Sports Achievement and the Polish Silver Cross of Merit.
