Boxer Alois Swatosch was Austrian lightweight champion from 1934-36 and therefore qualified for the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he lost his first-round bout to Belgian Simon Dewinter. Domestically, Swatosch represented BC Wieder Wien (Vienna). During the 1960s he coached young boxers at Polizei SV Wien (Vienna).
