William Marthe was a Swiss track and field athlete who represented Urania-Genève-Sports. Marthe competed in the 5,000 metres at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he ran in the second heat of three but did not finish the race. He was the only one of the 39 entrants not to finish in their respective heat.
