Biography

Jean Studer was a Swiss track and field athlete who represented LAC Biel. Studer specialised in the long jump and finished seventh in the event at the European Championships in both 1934 and 1938. At the 1936 Berlin Olympics he did not achieve the 7.15 metres required in the qualification round, and was therefore eliminated. After World War II Studer competed at the 1948 London Olympics where he finished 13th in the qualifying round, with the top-12 athletes advancing to the final.

Personal Best: LJ – 7.48 (1935).
