Waldemar Karlsson was a Swedish track and field athlete who specialised in long-distance running. Karlsson ran in the marathon at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he finished in 21st place. He spent some time living in the United States where he was known as “Wallie Carlson”. He was a member of the Svenska Gymnastikklubben Posse club in Boston with him running the Boston Marathon, finishing third in 1923, and fifth in 1926. His brother Fritz Carlson won the race in 1913.
