Biography

Martin Persson was a Swedish long-distance runner who represented Malmö AIF (MAI). Persson ran in the 5,000 metres and the 10,000 metres at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, where he qualified for the final in the latter, but did not take to the start line for the race. He died in Malmö General Hospital in February 1918 from complications relating to the Spanish flu pandemic. He was 31-years-old.

Personal Bests: 5000 – 15:42.0 (1911); 10000 – 32:55.6 (1911).
