Biography

Swedish track and field athlete Oscar Zallhagen was unbeatable in the discus throw in his country for a decade. Zallhagen won ten consecutive national titles in the event from 1913 to 1922, in addition to holding the Swedish record from 1913 until 1930. He also won the discus title at the AAA Championships in England in 1921, along with a silver (1914) and a bronze (1917) in the shot put at the Swedish athletics championships. Zallhagen competed in the discus at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics where he narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing in fourth.
