Karel Frankenstein

Karel Frankenstein was a Czechoslovak track and field athlete who represented Sparta Praha. Frankenstein ran in both the 400 and 800 metres at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics but did not advance from the heats in either race. A year after the Olympics he became the national champion in the 800 metres and in the 4 x 400 metres.

Originally it was believed that Frankenstein had died sometime between 1940 and 1945, but further research discovered that he died in 1954 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
