Biography

Cindy Bremser was a middle distance runner who ran for the University of Wisconsin and Nike North Track Club. At the 1975 Pan American Games she finished fourth in the 1,500 metres. Bremser was the 1980 TAC Indoor Champion in the 2 mile, and competed for the United States in several international dual meets. In major internationals, she was runner-up at the 1983 Pan American Games in the 1,500, third in the 1985 World Cup in the 3,000, and third at the 1986 Goodwill Games in the 5,000. She also competed at the first two World Athletics Championships in 1983 and 1987, but did not make the final in either of her events, and ran in 1978 at the International Cross-Country Championships. Bremser later became a nurse.
