Vivian Brown

Vivian Brown was a long sprinter, specializing in the 200 metres, while running for Tennessee State and the Cleveland Recreation Department. She won two US titles, the AAU 220 yards in 1962-63, and was the 1963 Pan American Games champion at 200 metres and at 4×100 metres relay (with Willye White, Marilyn White, and the non-Olympian Norma Harris). Brown also ran the 4×100 relay for the US several times in international dual meets and in 1961 helped a US team (with Willye White, Ernestine Pollards, and Wilma Rudolph) set the world record in that event during a US-USSR dual meet in Moskva. Brown later became a high school track coach.
