Cheryl Dickey was a high hurdler who ran in college for Texas Southern University. She won three consecutive conference championships in the high hurdles. Dickey won a bronze medal at the 1997 World Indoor Championships in the 60 metre hurdles. She was US Champion outdoors in 1998 and indoors in 1997. Her best world ranking was #5 in 1997, when she was the second ranked American.
