Biography

Lynn Nelson was a distance runner who ran the 10,000 metres at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, finishing 15th. Nelson won the 1988 US Olympic Trials to make the team. At the US Championships she finished second in the 10K in 1986 and third in 1987. Nelson also ran marathons. She was ranked in the US top 10 four times in the 10K, ranking second in 1986-87, and was 10th ranked in the US in the marathon in 1988. She was world ranked one time in the 10,000, as #10 in 1988.
