Biography

Lois Testa swam and played basketball and badminton at Pawtucket High School in Rhode Island, She was inspired to start in track & field by Janet Moreau of nearby Barrington, who was gold medalist in the 4×100 relay at the 1952 Olympics. Testa attended Rhode Island College and ran for the Red Diamond Athletic Club. Testa won AAU titles in 1954 in the outdoor shot put and in 1955-56 in the indoor shot.

Personal Best: SP – 45-6¾ (13.89) (1956).
