Otto Anderson competed in the 1924 Olympic decathlon after finishing fourth at the Olympic Trials. At the AAU Championship he was runner-up in the decathlon in 1925 and in the 220 hurdles in 1922. He competed for the Los Angeles AC and Hollywood AC, after attending the University of Southern California.
