Biography
Charley Borah won the AAU 100y in 1926, but was narrowly defeated by Chester Bowman the following year. However, he won the AAU 200m in 1927 and took both sprints for Southern Cal at the IC4A meet. In 1928 he retained his AAU 200 title. Although a more notable performer in the longer sprint, he won his gold medal by running the third leg of the 4 x 100 relay after surprisingly being eliminated in the second round of the individual 200m. Borah was a member of the USC team which set a world record for the 4 x 220y relay in 1927. Charley Borah also attended Southern Cal Dental School and later practiced dentistry.
