Biography

Hollis Conway won two Olympic medals in the high jump, with a silver in 1988 and a bronze in 1992. Internationally he also won gold medals at the 1991 World Indoor Championships and the 1991 Universiade, earning a bronze at the 1991 World Championships, a silver at the 1989 Universiade and 1994 Goodwill Games, and a bronze at the 1991 Pan American Games.

Conway jumped in college at Southeastern Louisiana State University. He was NCAA Champion in 1989 and runner-up in 1988. Conway won five consecutive US Championships from 1990-94. He was world ranked in the top 4 every year from 1989-93, ranking #1 in 1990-91, and was the top ranked US jumper for seven straight years from 1988-94.
