Mark Deady ran the 1,500 metres at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He made the team by placing third at the 1988 US Olympic Trials, which was somewhat of an upset as he never ranked in the US top 10 previously. Deady ran for Indiana University, where he finished third in the 1987 NCAA Meet. Deady was ranked #5 in the US in 1988.
