Ray Dodge ran for Oregon State and later represented the Multnomah AC. He was AAU indoor champion at 1,000 yards in 1926. Outdoors he finished third at the AAU in 1924 and 1927. Dodge later founded and owned a metalworks that originally made the Oscars for the Academy Award ceremonies.
