On the same day at the 1904 Olympics, Fred Englehardt of New York’s Mohawk AC placed second in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump. Engelhardt also won the handicap broad jump and placed third in the handicap 60 metre dash at the 1904 Olympics, both of which were considered non-Olympic or demonstration events. He later worked as an embroiderer for Carl Muscatt Embroidery Service in Middlesex, New Jersey.
