Biography

A weight thrower for West Point, Larry Hart won the Pan American Games hammer throw in 1975 and the AAU and US Olympic Trials hammer in 1976. He also competed for the NYAC. At the AAU Meet, Hart also finished second in 1975, fourth in 1969, and fifth in 1970 and 1974. Hart continued throwing in Masters events. On 20 June 2015, he set the American M65 record in the hammer throw, surpassing his own previous mark and that of former rival Ed Burke.
