Al Hulsebosch finished third in the 1920 AAU steeplechase, which qualified him for the Olympics. At Antwerpen Hulsebosch finished sixth, also as the third American. He competed for Colombia and the Paulist AC. Hulsebosch later worked as a salesman and wholesale salt distributor.
