Charles Hunter was named to the 1920 Olympic Team in the 5K, although he did not place in the top six at the Olympic Trials. Hunter, a California native, ran for the Olympic Club of San Francisco. At the time of the 1920 Olympics he worked as a shirt cutter, but Hunter later became a trainer at the Olympic Club.
