Albert Johnson was a weight-thrower who competed for the St. Louis YMCA at the 1904 Olympics. He also attended Georgia Tech. At the various ancillary events held during the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, he won the 56-lb. weight throw, handicap; finished second in the Olympic Irish Sports hammer throw, won the shot put, discus, and finished second in the hammer at the YMCA Handicap meet; and won the 1904 Western AAU hammer throw and YMCA hammer throw championships.
