Harry Lee of Syracuse qualified for the final of the 1900 Olympic 400 metres but would not compete in the race because it was held on Sunday. Lee was runner-up in the 1898 IC4A 440 yd. After graduation from Syracuse, Lee became an accountant in that city, working with the Syracuse Chilled Plow Company and then the Solvay Process Company. Solvay transferred him to their plant in Ashton, Kentucky, and he then went to Middletown, Ohio, where he was an accountant at American Rolling Mills.
