Biography
Danny Lopez ran the steeplechase at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He made the US team by finishing third at the US Olympic Trials, where he set his career best of 8:16.88, and also finished third at the 1994 USA Championships. He ran in college for the University of Oregon, finishing second in the steeple at the 1990 NCAA Meet.
Lopez ran for the Mizuno Track Club, but was sponsored by adidas. After retiring from competitive running he went to work for adidas American as a sports marketing manager for running based in Portland, Oregon.
Personal Best: 3000S – 8:16.88 (1992).
