Grant McDougall won the NCAA hammer throw in 1932, competing for Penn. He graduated from Penn in 1934 with a degree in economics. McDougall had prepped at Phillips Andover Academy in Massachusetts. He later became a physician. McDougall was the grandson of Alexander McDougall, a well-known shipbuilder.
