Henry Marsh was America’s greatest steeplechaser in the 70s and 80s. He won nine TAC championships in the steeple – 1978-79, and 1981-87. In addition to his three Olympic appearances (and making the 1980 US Olympic team), Marsh represented the USA at the 1979 and 1987 Pan-American Games, winning a gold in 1979 and silver in 1987, at the 1979 (fourth), 1981 (disqualified), and 1985 (second) World Cup, and at the 1983 (eighth) and 1987 (sixth) World Championships. At the NCAAs he was second in 1976 and third in 1977-78. He ran for Brigham Young University and Athletics West. Marsh was inducted into the US Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2001.
