Biography

Horace Ramey, of the University of Michigan and the Chicago AA, was named to the 1908 Olympic Team based on his winning of the 1908 Central Olympic Trials in the 800 metres. He ran both the 400 and 800 at the 1908 London Olympics, but did not make either final. Ramey helped Michigan relay teams win three titles at the Penn Relays - the 4-mile relay from 1905-07. He later became a sanitation engineer, running a trash collection company.

Personal Bests: 400 – 50.5 (1908); 800 – 1:57.0 (1908).
